Born in Bristol, Wilf Williams studied furniture design after moving to York in 1996.  Since then he has successfully earned a reputation as an accomplished furniture maker, producing hand-made pieces that combine function with aesthetics and form. Wilf's furniture uses a wide range of materials.  He predominantly uses sourced, sustainably forested hardwoods, from which he hand crafts unique pieces of furniture with longevity and value.

'My designs are inspired by modernist architecture, minimalist sculpture, traditional Shaker and Scandinavian furniture as well as simple natural forms found all around us. I work closely with my clients, designing and then crafting a piece of furniture that not only incorporates their ideas and needs, but also my own design ideas and ideals.'
